Australian Community Aged Care is proud to partner with Anybody Can Do Yoga (ABCDY) to bring free chair yoga sessions to seniors across Adelaide. These welcoming, community-based classes are held at convenient local venues — perfect for staying active, meeting new people, and caring for both body and mind. No yoga experience is necessary, and all exercises are performed seated for safety and comfort.

Your First Class, Step by Step

Here's what a typical session looks like so you feel confident walking in.

Arrive comfortably dressed

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes. No yoga mat needed — everything is done seated in a chair.

Gentle warm-up

The instructor guides you through a gentle warm-up to ease joints and muscles into movement safely.

Seated poses & breathwork

Simple yoga poses adapted for the chair, combined with breathing exercises for relaxation and focus.

Cool-down & social time

Classes end with a calming cool-down. Stay and chat — the social side is just as important as the yoga!
